When the COME entry opens another tab, identify the destination before tapping again. A newly opened page is not confirmation that a file transfer has begun.
Keep the starting tab available
Look at the browser tab switcher and identify the newly opened page by its address. Return to the original tab only when you need its context. Closing every tab immediately can remove the easiest way to understand the handoff.
Look for a real transfer record
If the new page offers an Android package, select that specific action once and inspect Downloads. With no transfer entry, you are still at the page stage. With an entry in progress, let that one attempt finish instead of repeatedly reopening the source.

Suppose the first tap creates a second tab while Downloads remains empty. That result means navigation occurred. Read the second tab and its Android offer; do not look for an installer that has not been saved.
